Donald E. Williams, 74, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Nitro, WV, passed away on August 5, 2017 at Munroe Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Donald was born January 1, 1943, in South Charleston, WV, to the late Burley and Maxine Williams. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris J. (Scarberry) Williams of 42 years, after marrying on March 28, 1975.
Donald is also survived by his children, Carmen (Doug) Smith, of St. Albans, WV, Lisa Williams and Donald Williams Jr., both of Nitro, WV, and Glenn (Beth) Williams of Ocala, FL, and a daughter-in-law, Kelli Williams, of Nitro, WV. He is also survived by seven grandchildren (Doug, Jr., Kevin, Diana, Joshua, Sarah, Aaron, and Brandon), five great-grandchildren (Brooklyn, Selena, Ahleeyah, Braxton, and Jaslyn), as well as four brothers (Earl, Glenn, Stevie, and Allen), and two sisters (Patsy and Debbie).
Donald was a member of the Church of Christ for more than 55 years, most recently at Orlo Vista Church of Christ in Orlando, FL. He was dedicated to the cause of Christ, and loved sharing the word of God with anyone he encountered.
Donald was a retiree of I.U.O.E. Local #132, of Charleston, WV, with more than 25 years of employment.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Diana Carol (Browning) Williams, a brother, Jack Williams, and a sister, Evelyn Jacobs.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar, WV. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV.
