Salt Springs - Mary "Joanne" Crawford, 84, passed away October 14, 2017. Born November 25, 1932, Toombs County, Vidalia GA, to Charlie and Ellen Brown. She moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1940 and from Jacksonville to Salt Springs, Florida in 1988. She was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, Jacksonville, FL in 1950. She was Sales and Distribution Analyst for 27 years at Lincoln-Mercury Division District Office, Ford Motor Company Jacksonville, Florida. Past active member of Forest Methodist Church; currently active member of Salt Springs Christian Church; past active member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary; past Volunteer Salvation Army; member Sheriff's Citizens on Patrol in Salt Springs; member of Ft. McCoy/Eureka Community Center.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents; step father, Norman Daniel; husbands, Jack C. Hicks and John O'Toole; son, John O'Toole; and granddaughter, Shelly Joanne Hayes.
She is survived by her loving husband, Louis "Wayne" Crawford; sons, Jack "Carl" Hicks (Rhonda), Michael O'Toole (Doreen), Mark O'Toole (Debra); daughter, Debra Hayes (Jim); brother, Ben Brown (Elaine), Norman Daniel (Roxanne); cousins, Gloria Sawyer, Janis Reid, Kem Wilkes and Nancy Kefaulas; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 19, 2017, with Funeral Service following at 11:00 am at Salt Springs Christian Church with Rev. Richard McCreary officiating.
