On July 14, 2023, surrounded by family, Annie Ruth Ingram very peacefully entered into the presence of her Savior. Born January 23, 1930, in Ocala, Florida, the daughter of the late George and Dola Collins, she was 93 1/2 years old.
Annie Ruth is an inspiration for how to spend a life surrounded by love. She was a faithful follower of Christ for over 80 years, a devout prayer warrior, and a pillar of faith for everyone around her. Her greatest love was the Lord, followed very closely by her love for her family. She was an adoring mom, Granna, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend that would proudly tell anyone who would listen all about her children and grandchildren. Though her family was very large, she always had time for others. She made everyone feel like they were part of her family and was well-loved by everyone who knew her.
Annie Ruth was a bookkeeper, a church financial secretary, and a tax expert but she’s notorious for her love of creating flower arrangements. She was the owner of Ingram's Silk Flowers for many years and continued her passion for creating floral designs for the rest of her life. She always wanted to give the gift of flowers to everyone she met. She also loved shopping and could outrun anyone with a shopping cart in front of her!
Annie Ruth was greeted in heaven by her parents, George and Dola Collins, her husband, Thomas Byron Ingram, and her granddaughter, Shannon Varney Sakalo. She also met her birth mother, Annie Laura Clements for the very first time. What a heavenly reunion!
She is survived by her brother Donald Collins (Aurelia), and sister, Marlene Collins Dobson (Ronnie). Annie Ruth is also survived by her beloved children Elayne Ingram Varney (Darrel), Carol Ingram Cochran (Mickey), Timothy Ingram (Dona, daughter of her heart), Jennifer Ingram Jinright (Mitch), grandchildren Leslie (Brian), Kisha, Michael (Shannon), Camron (Keriann), (Scott), Jessica (Todd), Jon (Crystal), Jordan (Christina), Leah (Darrell), Brandi (Jesse), Dakota, and Maddi, along with 30 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and several very special nieces and nephews.
The family invites you to join us for a homegoing service on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 11 am at Oakcrest Baptist Church as we celebrate her life and graduation into her Heavenly Home.
