Anthony - Anthony J. DeMonico, 88, passed away April 7, 2018 at Hospice Estelle's. Born April 15, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York, to Grazio and Rose Dybrino DeMonico. He was a veteran of the United States Army and an automotive mechanic. He was an avid Mets fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Joan Ellen DeMonico; son, Stephen DeMonico (Michelle); daughter, Michele Alsup (Michael); adopted daughter, Danielle Pompie; grandchildren, Stevie DeMonico (Alex), Cheyanne Alsup, Ashley Alsup, and Brenden DeMonico; four adopted grandchildren, Ryan, Evangline, Paisley, Reagan; and great-granddaughter, Cecilia DeMonico.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. Funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm, with Reverend Jim Johnson officiating.  Interment will be at 11:00 am, Friday, April 13, 2018, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
