GRECO SR., Anthony Peter
Ocala – Anthony “Tony” Peter Greco, Sr., 91, passed away at home on April 21,
2020, in Ocala, Florida. He was born on December 24, 1928, to the late Peter F.
and Pietrina Dugo Greco, in Elmwood Park, Illinois. Anthony had two brothers and
two sisters.
He is survived (for five hours) by his loving wife, Anneca E. Greco; son, Anthony
(Melissa) Greco, Jr.; daughters, Diane (Rick) Halabrin, Patricia (late Harold) Young,
Kathryn (Dave) Ousley. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 23 great
grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, along with many loving nieces and
nephews.
Tony served in the Army in the Korean War and was discharged to Camp McCoy in
Wisconsin. He met his soon to be bride, Anneca, at the local diner in La Crosse
and three months later, they married in Desoto, Wisconsin. They moved to his
hometown of Elmwood Park, Illinois to start their family, and resided there for
many years.
Tony was into cars and racing and worked in a dealership parts department,
quickly moving into car sales. He was with Chevrolet for a long time and moved
up to become a Truck Manager. He then was a partner in an AMC Dealership in
Palatine, Illinois. He shifted interests where he owned a few restaurants and was
a partner in building and owning a shopping Center in Palatine. Tony and Anneca
started buying and selling cars, retired to Florida where they continued buying
and selling cars for several years before fully retiring.
While retired, Tony served as the President of Faircrest 14 Homeowners
Association Board of Directors for twelve years. His wife, Anneca, was also very
active and worked on the Social Committee. Throughout his retirement, he spent
time shopping at garage sales, teaching his family old and new recipes, and living
alongside his wife until the very end.

Final resting arrangements are under care of Funeral Home in Anthony, FL. A
Celebration of Life will be held in Illinois.
