The Villages - Anthony Charles Mickiewicz, Jr. passed away at Cornerstone Hospice on July 22, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Born June 5, 1934, in Rahway, NJ. He was raised and attended school in Roselle Park NJ. He was a prominent force in his graduating class from Rutgers University. Tony was a veteran of the United States Army. He began his career with NJ Bell, was a town councilman in South Plainfield, New Jersey, he was recognized as one of the five (5) most outstanding young men in the state of NJ. He was a Senior Corporate Trust Executive prior to starting his own Financial Services Firm. His clients were so important to him that they became friends. In 2005 he moved to The Villages from Buffalo Grove, IL. He enjoyed playing tennis, golf, cards and Mexican Train. Preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Janet. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie; sons, Marc and Gary (Susan); 6 grandchildren, Will (Amanda) Mueller, Matthew (Krystal), Michael, Catherine; 6 great-grandchildren, Madison, JJ, Tyler, Asher, Claire, Aria; sister, Celeste; brother, Robert (Geraldine); many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. He taught us all to be humble, loving and kind.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood, with Father Ron Oser officiating. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl.
