LAFOUNTAIN, Beth Ann
Citra - Beth Ann LaFountain, 54, passed away August 14, 2017. She was born September 11, 1962, in Ocala, FL, to James Sims (deceased) and Karen Sims Medema. She has lived in Marion County all of her life and worked as a Media Specialist/Teacher Assistant at Sparr Elementary School. Beth is preceded in death by her father, James Sims; and brother Tommy Sims.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ivan D. LaFountain; mother, Karen Medema (Lee); sons, Ivan D. LaFountain, Jr., Kyle, Brian (Taylor), Jeffrey (Caitlyn); sister, Kathy Borden (Mike); sister in law, Julya Christmas Sims; Brother in-law Eddie, Josie and Eddie LaFountan ; and grandchildren, Kaia Hickman, Hoyt Lafountain, Parker Lafountain, and Jessica Hickman; aunts; uncles; nephews, Luke, JR; and many cousins.

Visitation will be today from 4:30-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony FL. Funeral Service will be  10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Citra First United Methodist Church with Reverend Debbie Mak officiating. Interment will follow in Citra Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Beth Ann to Sparr Elementary School to fund clothing and shoes for children.
