Betty Bickler

Silver Springs - Betty Jean Bickler, 84, passed away November 10, 2016 peacefully at home. Born in Newark, NJ on March 30, 1932, to George Frank and Lillian W. Gillum. She has been a Marion County resident for over 40 years. She worked as a Librarian in Belleview and was an active volunteer at Brother's Keeper Soup Kitchen.
Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, George Henry Bickler, Jr; brother, Frank Gillum, and niece, Jodi Mills.
She is survived by her sons, Michael G. Bickler, Robert "Bobby" T. Bickler, Steven Wayne Bickler; daughters, Patricia Marie Tousignault (Monty), Mary "Susan" Gildersleeve (Raymond); nephews, Gary Gillum, Tommy Mills; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces/nephews and grand-nieces/nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm, Monday, November 14, 2016, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Ocala, FL.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Ocala, FL with Father Patrick J. Sheedy officiating. Interment to follow at 2:30 p.m., in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
