Bobby Messer, 65, of Citra, Florida, passed away on March 8, 2025.
Born on October 4, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Rhoda Messer and the late Mart Messer Jr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Messer.
Bobby had a passion for NASCAR, working on cars, and always finding something to fix or improve. He was known for his "hillbilly engineering" and had a knack for fixing anything in his own creative way. He loved being a Papaw, playing with his grandchildren, taking them on 4-wheeler rides, and going fishing. A devoted dad who was always there for his daughters, and for anyone else who needed him. His goofy sense of humor brought laughter to everyone around him.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Messer; his mother, Rhoda Messer; his brother, Ronnie (Ellen) Messer; his daughters, Rhonda (Robert) Munro and Angelena Messer; his grandchildren, Sevyn, Jackson, and a grandchild on the way; and his stepchildren, Shane Wheeler, Michelle (Marcus) Clanton, James (Marla) Wheeler, and Cheryl (Louis) Gonzalez, along with nine bonus grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many neices and nephews.
Bobby is and forever will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
