Brenda Sue (Jonas) Hilt, 73, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2022, in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida. She was born May 2, 1948, to William E. & Cynthia E. (Lewellen) Jonas in Lafayette, Indiana. She married Donald November 6, 1965. She graduated from Southwestern High School. She worked as a secretary for Hope Link while living in Washington State and was a school bus driver for many years before that in Lafayette, Indiana for the Lafayette School Corp. She loved Jesus and attend church at Trinity Baptist Church in Wildwood, Fl. Among her favorite things to do were knitting, crocheting, jigsaw & book puzzles, & playing games on her phone. She also loved Facebook sending out bible quotes and talking with family on it.
She is preceded by her parents; William E. & Cynthia E. (Lewellen) Jonas. Three sisters: Gladys Breitenbach, Ethel Foley, and Rosie Jones, three brothers: Fred, John and Jim Jonas, three grandchildren: Amanda White, David White, and Crystal Ragan, and two great grandchildren: Zachary and Jensen.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald Hilt; daughter, Robin Sharp and husband Mark; sons: Roger Hilt and wife Melissa, and Anthony Hilt; sister Alta Bennett (preceded by her husband William) ; grandchildren: Matthew, Caitlyn, Alyssa, Josh, Tiphani, David, Sean, Tyler, and Candice : and many great grandbabies she adored tremendously.
Brenda will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Spread your wings now. Go rest on high.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Countryside Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home.
