Bryce “Uncle B” Flynn

Bryce C. Flynn, 93, of Ocala, FL passed away peacefully September 1, 2022. Mr. Flynn was born in Cadillac, MI and attended Cadillac High School. After high school, he served in the US Air Force.

For many years, Mr. Flynn was blessed to live the American dream--being a business owner (Brighter & Lighter Carpet Cleaning). He retired no stranger to the meaning of hard work and dedication.

Mr. Flynn loved ballroom dancing and was truly in his element as a dance instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Studios. He enjoyed family-time, being outdoors (except for canoeing), and will always be remembered for his love of horses (hats, boots, and all). Mr. Flynn was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Okeechobee and Ocala, FL where he built many lifelong friendships. He was strong in his Christian faith, enjoyed reading scripture, and was a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church.

Though Mr. Flynn did not have children of his own, he was a father-figure to many and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Mr. Flynn was a loving son, beloved brother, cherished uncle, and dear friend. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his brother, Drew C (Dorothy J) Flynn (Boynton Beach, FL); niece, Lysandra M Cintron (Dunnellon, FL); great-nephews, Michael, Andrew, and Anthony Cintron (FL); nephew, Drew P Flynn (Irving, TX), niece, Shana G (Jim) Sund (Raleigh, NC); great-nephew/-niece, Bradley/Brenna Sund (Raleigh, NC); and cousins, Sherry (Bob) Olson (CO) and Charlo Reynolds (MT).

He is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, J LaVonne (Phil) Wall (Raleigh, NC), sister, Penelope G Flynn (Cadillac, MI), and his parents.

Visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home (9185 NE Jacksonville Rd., Anthony, FL 352-620-2006) on Friday, September 23rd from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Funeral service and Interment with Military Honors will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memory Gardens (5740 S Pine Ave., Ocala, FL 352-622-8181) on Saturday, September 24th at 3:00pm.
