Hall, Calvin Otis

Ocala - Calvin Otis Hall, 93, passed away April 10, 2018. Born February 22, 1925 in Excel, Alabama, but grew up in the farming community of Jay, FL. He joined the Army and served in the battle for the Philippines. Returned home then ventured to Ocala, FL where he became involved in building the fertilizer plant. Farming grew in the area and he started a fertilizer spreader service.

He then met and married Estelle Godwin. They celebrated 70 years together and have two sons; Calvin Lynn Hall and Lane Evan Hall. He was an outdoors man who loved fishing, hunting and gardening.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, at Countryside Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
