Carol Head Keeney

Carol Head Keeney, 88, of Ocala Florida, died September 1, 2024 at Cates House. She was born in Florida, a daughter of Gilbert and Dixie Head, and raised in Macon, GA. She was a true Southener, a registered nurse, and a loving mother and wife.

Carol spent her life caring for her family, her patients, and her dogs. She enjoyed painting, creating beautiful quilts, and loving her English bulldogs.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Belea T. Keeney; her son Jerome Taylor Keeney III and daughter-in-law Margit Sylvester; and her granddaughter Jordan Elizabeth Polk. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome Taylor Keeney Jr., and her sister Betty Murphy.

Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Marion County and mailed to Cates House, 9505 SW 110 th St., Ocala FL 34481.

The cremation arrangements have been entrusted with Countryside Funeral Home. A private memorial service will held in St. Petersburg, FL in October.
