Carol Daphine Mulkey, 79, passed away February 7, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born in Chiefland, Florida on March 26, 1937 to Herman Scogin and Ruby Thomas Scogin. Carol lived in Ocala most of her life and worked as a secretary for Scottish Rite of Ocala.
Carol is survived by her loving husband Leon David Mulkey of 62 years, four daughters, Brenda Holmer, Donna Johns (Bruce), Jeanne Mulkey, and Kay Suess (Mark), Sisters, Judy Hicks, Rose Johnson, Patsy Connor, two brothers, Jimmy Cole and Buddy Cole. She also has seven grandchildren, Christina Rock (Wain), Carl Holmer III (Rebecca), Aaron Johns, Deanna Tharp (Jason), Crystal Smith (Mike), Oren Suess (Ashley) and Tyler Suess (Noel). Nine great grandchildren, Morgan, Daelyn, Weston, Abbigail, Madison, Bailey, Mason, Maybre and Ainsley, with another due in September.
Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Anthony First Baptist Church. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
