Catherine Harpe Hartsfield, 87, of Ocala, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
Catherine was born on August 29, 1937, in Clarkston, Georgia to the late Florence and Luther Harpe. She was a loving and faithful servant of God, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Catherine was a wonderful cook, talented seamstress, and avid gardener at her home. Her true passion was studying God’s Word. Through the scriptures, she found Jesus to be The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Her deepest desire was for others to know Him. To that end she shared her life and the love of God with everyone she encountered.
Catherine was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, Earl Hartsfield as well as sisters, Pearl Riddling and Evelyn Perry. Catherine is survived by her daughters, Susan (Donald) Tartt and Lori (Pete) Milam as well as grandchildren Jessica (Brian) Trice, Ian Tartt, Jillian Tartt and great-grandchildren Isabelle Trice, Henry Trice, and her namesake, Catherine Trice. She is also survived by sisters Thelma Dampier and Judy (Joe) Knapp, brother John Harpe of Melrose as well as many dearly loved nieces and nephews and extended family.
A Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 at noon at Countryside Funeral Home in Anthony, Florida. Interment will be at Melrose Cemetery in Melrose, Florida immediately following the service.
