Armstrong, Charles Lester

Salt Springs - Charles Lester Armstrong, 77, passed away August 2, 2019 at home.  Born August 31, 1941, in Palatka, FL, to Lester Hugh and Hazel Bell Armstrong. He has resided here most all his life. He is a Veteran of the United States Army, he later worked as a roofing contractor.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Leslie Ann; brother, Glen Armstrong; and sisters Nelda Fowler and Annette Swearing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Charlotte Stringer Armstrong; sons, Keith Collier, Dallas DeRisso, Scott Strickland, Neal Strickland, Mike Armstrong; daughters, Traci Mendez, Debbie Donlan; step-daughter, Tracey Strickland Kelley; sister, Terri Lynn Pope; numerous loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all whom will miss him dearly.

A Memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, August 9, 2019, at the Salt Springs VFW with a reception following the service.  Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
