Citra - Charles Edward McCarty, 79, passed away April 3, 2017. Born in Boyd County, Kentucky on June 15, 1937, he was the son of Clyde E. and Gusta B. McCarty. Charles moved to Marion County from Oil Springs, Kentucky nearly 30 years ago and worked as an over road truck driver.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean McCarty; sons, Alan (Hilary), Matthew (Brittany); daughters, Amy (Chris); brother, Dewey (Ruth Ann) McCarty; sisters, Karen Ousley (Gary); five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Preceded him in death is brothers James A., David K., and Lester L. McCarty.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with Chaplain Joe Paul officiating. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home.
