Cheryl Cay Murphy

Cheryl Cay Murphy, age 66, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on December 13, 2024. She was born on May 19, 1958, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, a daughter of Wilbert and Shirley Mix. 

She is preceded by her late husband John Phillip Murphy II, who passed away in 1998. 

Cheryl was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience. Tough as nails and stubborn to the core, her determination was her greatest strength, protecting and guiding her through life’s challenges. Yet, beneath that tough exterior was a heart full of warmth, and her joy for life showed in the way she was always ready with a kind word or a warm smile. Her stubbornness, strength, and unwavering love were her greatest gifts to the world.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory; son, John Murphy (Brittney); daughter, Rose Murphy.

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
