Christine Oliveros passed away at Sylvia’s House on April 1, 2016. Born November 22, 1918, to John and Rosa Knowles, in Tarpon Springs. At the age of 17 she moved to Key West where she met her husband Gordon. In 1983 they moved to Miami and then to Ocala 1987. She was a homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Oliveros, Christine is survived by her son, Charles V. (Rosemarie) Oliveros; sister, Irene Tsangaris; grandchildren,Tina (Rick) Banner, Cathy (Shawn) Grimm, Michael (Briana) Oliveros; great-grandchildren, Brooke Banner, Ryan Banner, Alexis Grimm and Audrey Oliveros.
Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with Father Pat Sheedy officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Church Chapel prior to the service. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, at Woodlawn Park Cemetery South, Miami. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
