Clarence “Butch” Martinie of Ocala, Florida, (formerly of Longview and Danville, Illinois) died, in faith, at home amongst family on Sunday, July 25, 2021.
Butch was born in Champaign, Illinois on March 5, 1948 and graduated from ABL High School in Broadlands, IL in 1966 where he was a star athlete. He actively served his country in the United States Army from 1966-1973, and was a Vietnam Veteran.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Edgar “Mike” and Mary Nelle, brothers Jay, Kent, Galen “Marty” and Gary.
Butch is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Charlotte, sons Scott and Eddie, daughters Kate, Dee “Sissie”, Brandi, Stephanie, Debbie and Terri, sisters Sharon Limbert, Mary Glasgow and Sara Cheely, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Butch will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle; a kind and gentle man full of faith; and a proud patriot and U.S. Army Veteran.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. Graveside service will be 1:30 pm, Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
