Cora Ward

OCALA- Cora Lee Ward, 92, passed away October 18, 2018. She was born in Chiefland, FL to the late Henry Jackson Cason and Julia Harlie Horn Cason. Cora moved to Ocala in 1948 where she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her hobbies were sewing and quilting. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Anthony,FL.

She is survived by her son Thomas Wesley (Dianne) Ward, Lexington, SC; daughter Harlie Jean Ward Nicholson; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her loving husband of 67 years, Franklin W. Ward, preceded her in 2010.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 at Countryside Funeral Home with reverend Samuel W. Clements officiating. Visitation will be held one prior at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of Marion County, P.O.
