Daniel Rowe-Sherman, age 20, of Gainesville, Florida passed away on August 13, 2024, unexpectedly. He was born on June 30, 2004, in West Palm Beach, Florida, as Baby Boy Altman. Lisa Rowe, Dan's mom cut the cord and fell in love instantly with Dan. Lisa and her then husband, Avon Sherman immediately adopted, took great loving care of, and adored their son. He was beloved by his classmates and teacher's and owner of the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, Florida. A book of his poems will be published posthumously.
Dan loved swimming in the oceans off Juno and Hobe Sound, swinging and swinging and swinging, climbing the plateaus of New Mexico, hiking in North Carolina, sliding down “sliding rock” and playing The Davidson River in the Pisgah National Forest. He read college text books about Marine Biology as a 10 year old. He loved the stars, moon and most especially sunsets.
He is preceded by Lisa's mother, Barbara Busch Rowe & Lisa's Father, Robert Lanier Rowe of North Palm Beach, and Lisa's sister Pam Chapman.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory; mother, Lisa Rowe "his person" and "hero" originally of North Palm Beach, a sister, Mackensee White, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Jim, and Aunt Beth, his biological family including Ms. Pam, his biological mother, Joey Altman, his full brother, 3 1/2 brothers, and a beloved Aunt Tina. as well as his adoptive father.
A service is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery in Gainesville at 9:30 A.M.
