SPADA, David Alan

Ocala - David Alan Spada, 63, passed away August 22, 2021 surrounded by family. He was born May 11, 1958 in Rockland, MA, to Zano Spada and Marjorie Hough. After high school, David worked in computer sales and later in construction sales with Champion Windows in Avon, MA. At Champion, David distinguished himself as a nation-wide top sales person many times over before retiring as a snowbird to Naples, ME and Ocala, FL.

In retirement, David dedicated his time to the Knights of Columbus Council #10020, rising to the rank of 4th Degree Knight and serving on the Maine State Council. Through the Knights of Columbus, David became a staunch advocate for Mother Seton House in Fryeburg, ME- a residential home for expecting and new mothers in need. David was known for his excellence in the kitchen and will be remembered fondly through the recipes he passed on, many of which came from his grandmother and father.

David is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol Spada (née Proulx), daughter Katherine Moffatt, her husband Marcus, their two children, Myla and Everly; daughter Lauren Spada and fiancé Thomas Thrasher; his brothers Zano Jr, John, and Dana, many loving nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

A celebratory service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Windham, ME on September 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Reception in the church hall to follow. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Mother Seton House. Donations can be made at their website: https://mothersetonhouse.com.
