Our beautiful Debora Kay Davis stepped into eternity on April 6, 2023 in Ocala, Florida, with her mother and sister by her side. Her bright light and big heart left us too soon, but we will always remember her warm love and zest for life!
Born in Clewiston, Florida in March of 1961 to Bill Gomez and Jean Bright, Debbie grew up in Fort Myers and Labelle, where she met and married Clint Davis and they raised several niece’s and their nephew in the 35 years of love and laughter they shared before he was called home to be with the Lord. After his passing, her prayers were answered when she was blessed to find and marry her beloved Tim Davis. Debbie and Tim had two wonderful years of adventure before Tim was taken suddenly, and too soon. Widowed twice, she embraced every moment of change with an open mind and positive spirit traveling with family and friends and enjoying her life.
We will miss our sweet Debbie as will those she impacted throughout her life, from adoring friends and family to her work in education.
Debbie was a member of Ocala First Assembly of God for 28 years and fulfilled her career goals by joining the teaching staff at First Assembly Christian School 11 years ago. Debbie was passionate about teaching and dearly loved the children she worked with.
Her heart belonged to Jesus, which was evident in the way she cared for those who were over-looked or tossed aside. Debbie had a way of making others feel wanted, cherished and respected. She was quite an example to emulate!
Debbie lived a joyful life! She was a devoted daughter, a loving sister, loyal wife, and supportive aunt, cousin and friend. We will all greatly miss her smile and adventurous spirit. But for now, we are grateful that she knows what it's like to be genuinely unbound and will hold to the promise that we’ll be reunited one day.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her mother Jean Bright, Brother Keith Bright, Sister and Brother in love Lisa and Reese Platt, Brother Bryan Gomez, Sister and Brother in love Shelby and Ted Tompkins, Stepsons and Daughter in laws Orrie and Summer Davis and Dylan and Lauren Davis, Grandchildren and of course, her pride and joy, Sadie.
Preceded in death by her daddy Bill Gomez, husband Clint Davis, and husband Tim Davis.
Our family requests you join us for a celebration of her life at
First Assembly located at 1827 NE 14th Street, Ocala, FL 34470 on 4/22/23 at 11:00 am.
In place of flowers, a donation should be made to First Assembly Christian School. This will provide books for the library in Debbie's memory and help with children's tuition.
