Ocala – Dian VanGunten, 76, passed away March 10, 2016 at Hospice Sylvia’s House. She was born November 5, 1939 in Lima, Ohio, to Wilber Denton Johnson and Mildred Saum Johnson.
In 1965, the family moved to Margate, Florida where she was a homemaker and her love of horses blossomed: she started raising and showing Quarter horses. In 1974 the family moved to Ocala, Florida. Dian was a member of the Ecclesia Life Church in Ocala. She was a faithful women of Yahweh, encourager and prayer warrior. She loved life and her family and friends, she will be truly missed.
Dian is survived by her beloved husband, Roger VanGunten; daughters, Christine June (David), of Ocala, Kimberly Hart (Bryon), of Ocala; son, Scott VanGunten, of Dunnellon and her grandchildren, Nicole Cole, (Travis), Lindsey Hart, Sarah June and great-grandson Ethen Cole.
A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16th 2016 at Ecclesia Life Church, 1425 NE 63rd Street Ocala FL 34479. A potluck dinner to follow and all are welcome.
