Doris Young

Anthony - Doris Hattaway Young, 88, passed away January 16, 2017. Born and raised in Ocala, FL on November 14, 1928 to Nathan Gaynor and Ethel Middleton Hattaway. She was a lifelong resident of Marion County and a bookkeeper for Rheinauers for over twenty-five years. She attended Ocala High and graduated from Anthony High School. She volunteered with Anthony United Methodist Church. Anthony Woman’s Club and Anthony School reunion committee. She loved to play cards and was a member of several card playing groups.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Terry Pasteur Young. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Kaye Young Golden; sister, Barbara Nichols; granddaughters, Shannon Golden Jones (Jonathan) and Teresa Golden; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Thomas Jones (Ariana), Jessica Jones Bongiovanni (Kyle) and Chloe Willow Golden; great-great grandchildren Mia Rosa Jones, Nathan Ares Jones and Annabelle May Bongiovanni; and several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2016 at the Anthony United Methodist Church, 2396 NE 97th St. Rd., Anthony, with Pastor Don Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in Anthony Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
