Dorothy May Saunders

Dorothy May Saunders, age 85 of Ocala, Florida passed away on October 19, 2023.  She was born on September 12, 1938 in Tarpon Virginia. Daughter to the late Henry Elzie and Agusta Yates Sykes.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Harold Eugene Saunders Sr, one son Paul Saunders, brother Vergil Sykes, sisters Lucille Holley, Faye Duke, and Sue Willis. 

 

She was also preceded in death by her grandson Thomas Lee Saunders.  

 

She leaves behind her children, Lewis Lee Large, Connie L. Palpant, Henry Harold Saunders, Harold Eugene Saunders II, Dennis Lyle Saunders, and Vadis Sibley,

 

She leaves behind her grandchildren, Dakota Lee Large, Rachel Palpant Auxier, Matthew Lee Palpant, Sydney Allison Saunders, Shelby Anne Saunders, David Saunders, Darrell Saunders, Danielle Brooke, Danton Saunders, Theresa Chaires, Natalie Catalonito, Harold Eugene Saunders III, Michelle Smith, Denise Hardesty, Jamie Lacott, Heather London, Josh Saunders, Christy Frye, and many, many more great and great great-grandchildren whom she loved so much and always found time for the ones who needed the most time.  

 

She also leaves behind her loving companion Raymond Campbell.

 

A funeral service has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home

 

Immediate Family to hold a brief prayer vigil at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens following service.
