Dot Glanzer died peacefully on October 22, 2023. She was born on February 25, 1934, in Menominee, Michigan, to Charles and Julia Glanzer. The family resided in Crivitz, Wisconsin, until moving to Ocala in 1955.
Dot is survived by her brother Chuck Glanzer, Limestone, Tennessee; nephew, Chris (Amanda) Glanzer, Ketchikan, Alaska; and niece, Julie (Brandon) Glanzer Wickizer, Morehead City, North Carolina.
Dot had a deep love for her family; was a faithful and devoted servant as one of God’s children. She was a loyal and dependable employee, a compassionate and sincere friend and a pleasant and cheerful person. Dot was someone who had a great interest in sports, enjoyed music, had a passion for reading and could not have been happier than being outdoors fulfilling her “labor of love” in caring for her yard with all its plants and flowers - exemplifying her heritage of not only a farmer’s daughter, but a farmers granddaughter. She lived a faith-filled stewardship way of life and was truly grateful for the daily blessings she received from God.
A memorial service will be held at 8:30 on Friday, October 27th at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with Father Patrick J. Sheedy officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brother’s Keeper or Trinity Catholic High School.
Arrangements by Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony.
