Evelyn Baskin

Evelyn Geraldine Baskin was born to Edward and Elma Neubeck on December 13, 1924 in Daytona Beach, Florida. She grew up with one sister Kathleen. Her father was a master carpenter and her mother a church organist. In 1947, she married the love of her life, William Stewart Baskin, Jr. in Daytona Beach after he returned from WW2 where he had served in the US Army in the European theatre. God blessed them with three children, Barry, Paul & Evie. She loved Jesus and encouraged her family to love Him too. She loved her church, Arlington Baptist Church in Jacksonville Florida where she and her husband attended for over forty years. During this time, Evelyn served as church secretary for Pastor Arville Renner and Christ Bible Church for 15 years where her laughter and sweet spirit touched the lives of many. She spent the last eight years of her life in an assisted living home in Cedar Hill Texas. Almost everyone she met was impacted by her unusual sense of humor, her love for people and continuing faith in God. She was a sweetheart, a fountain of kindness who loved all the people  who knew her. She had eleven grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. She joyfully went to be with Jesus where she joined many loved ones, friends and family who were waiting for her on the other side on the evening of July 4th.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. Interment will follow in Anthony Cemetery, Anthony, FL.
