Gail Chester

Gail Hancock Chester, age 69, passed away April 1, 2021 at her home in Ft McCoy, FL. She was born September 5, 1951 in Moultrie, GA. Gail was the beloved wife and best friend of her one and only of 50 years to Tony Chester. Gail’s world revolved around her son Heath, and that love grew to her grandchildren. She would do anything in the world for them. Gail enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking for an army, and doing crafts in her “she shed.” She also enjoyed working as a bookkeeper and nail technician as well as many other jobs throughout her life.

Gail was the devoted mother of Heath Chester (Tina), stepmother to Wendy Weinsheimer (Kevin), adoring grandmother to Seth, Brianna, Arabella, Lauren, Blake (Ana), Grace and three great grandchildren. Gail is also survived by her husband Tony Chester, brother Gary Hancock, sister Patricia Hyatt, and mother-in-law Katie Chester. She is preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Zelma Hancock, brothers Wayne Hancock and Richard Hancock.

A celebration of life will be held at Pine Haven Ranch, 10011 E Hwy 318 Citra, FL 32113, from 1:00- 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 11, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Marion County in honor of Gail Chester.
