Geraldine Michelle (Konopski) Nagy

Geraldine Michelle (Konopski) Nagy, age 84 passed away on August 14, 2024 in Ocala, FL. Gerri was born at home in Natrona, PA on August 13, 1940, daughter of the late Henry and Irene Konopski. Married to David L Nagy on November 26, 1960. They raised 3 children in Natrona Heights, PA and lived out their retirement in Ocala, FL for the past 30 years.

 Along with her parents, Gerri was preceded in death by both her sisters, Theresa and Judy, and her daughter Diane M Schantz.

 Gerri is survived by her husband David of 63 years, her son Paul E. (Ruth) Nagy, daughter Patricia E (Robert) Wood, and son in law Russell Schantz. Grandchildren include: Celeste (Kenny) Davis, Sarah (James) Miller, Shawn (Elizabeth) Igo, Emily (Dalton) Short, Jay (Crissy) Schantz, Michael (Stevie) Schantz, Jessica (Thomas) Hobson, Laura (Jared) Poth, as well as 18 great grandchildren. 

Nieces and nephews including: Brian(Tina) Konopski, Mark, Kerri, Lori Nagy, and Louis A. Nagy. 

Gerri enjoyed reading books, baking, shopping, sewing, ceramics, and spending time with family and friends. She was also dedicated to her church, teaching sunday school, bible studies, and VBS, working on the church board, attending mission trips, helping out the mission committees and preparing meals for church events. She devoted her time sharing the good news of eternal life and spreading the love of Jesus.

 Services will be held on October 29, 2024 at Ocala West Church of the Nazarene 5884 SW 60th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34474. Family viewing - 8:30 a.m. Public viewing - 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. Service - 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.

 Cemetery service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery at 12:30p.m. Florida National Cemetery located at: 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513 . My soul finds rest in God alone, my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. Psalm 62:1-2
