Ocala - Gerald L. "Jerry" Roberts, 80, passed away December 10, 2017. Born on August 8, 1937 in Orlando, FL to Philip H. and Catherine D Roberts. Jerry has been a Marion County resident since 1957 and owned Jerry's Homette Mobile Home Sales in the Ocala National Forest from 1961-1992.
He is preceded by his wife, Hazel M. Roberts.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Kathy Brown (Chip), Bambi Decker (Steve), Rea Nicholson (Vic), Phyllis Gaston, Melanie Tackett (Mike); son, Chris Ricke (Erin); brother, William "Bill" Roberts; granchildren, Shannon, Brittany, Jessica, Jason, J.R., Jared; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Jerry was an avid fisherman throughout his life and was engaged in the hobby of antique lure collecting. In his younger years he enjoyed deer hunting in the woods that he loved He had an art for telling stories of history that was truly fascinating and drew the attention of young and old alike. He will be remembered fondly and forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
