Ocala - Gilles Denis Benoit, 80, passed away February 25, 2016. He was born on September 11, 1935 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to Romeo Benoit and Lucienna Meloche Benoit. He moved here in 1981 from Huntington, Quebec. He owned and operated and his own appliance store.
He is survived by his daughter, Marlene (John) Gunion, of Ocala; sisters, Francine, Micheline and Ginette; grandchildren, Alissa and Jonathan Gunion; and many other family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Sheedy officiating.
