It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Gregory D. Katz, who left this world far too soon at the age of 43. Though his journey was not without its many struggles, he faced every challenge with unwavering faith, resilience, and a heart full of love.

A devoted Christian, Gregory lived by his belief in grace and redemption, always offering kindness to those around him. He was a caring soul, known for his compassion, his strength, and his refusal to give up no matter how difficult the road became.

Gregory is preceded in death by his brother Eric Register and his niece Brittany Katz, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Legna Katz; his parents, Rita Padgett and Daniel Katz; his brothers Mike Olson and Brian Katz, his step-siblings Peter Cote and Jennifer Cote, as well as his many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. His memory will live on in their hearts and in the lives of all who were blessed to know him. 

A service to honor and celebrate Gregory's life will be held on Saturday, April 26th at Ocala Church from 11:00am - 2:00pm.Though we grieve his loss, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in the presence of his Lord, free from the burdens of this world.
