Harold Maxwell

Ocala - Harold Robert "Bob" Maxwell, Jr., 76, passed away August 5, 2018.  Born on August 19, 1941 in Tallahassee, FL to Harold Robert Maxwell, Sr. and Pauline Skinner Maxwell.  He graduated from Leon High School in 1959 and went on to play football for his beloved Bulldogs at the University of Georgia for two years. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from Florida State in 1966 with a business degree. He and Sircy moved to Ocala in 1966 where he proceeded to work in the insurance industry. He was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church and a lifetime Elks Club member. He was an avid hunter and always could offer a joke to brighten anyone’s day. His grandchildren were the lights of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sircy; daughters Marcy Maxwell Ha (Khoi) and Ashley Schroeder (Don) and sister Patricia O'Kelley Amos (Hays), five grandchildren Austin Mellucci, Sarah Ann, Shelby, and Laura Beth Schroeder, Kyron Meredith (Lindsay) of Cherry Point, NC, and two great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church, with Reverends Don Grant and Joe Schroeder officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the youth or children’s ministries at Trinity Baptist Church.
