Helen Lucille Taylor, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday May 18, 2018. She was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC on March 16, 1932 to John Henry Wooten and Myrtle Mae Nance.
Following her love of children, she chose a career as a Nurse's Tech in the Obstetrics department and retired from Munroe Regional Medical Center in 1994.
She had a passion for gardening, sewing and reading and devoted her whole life to caring for the ones she loved.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her sons, Lawrence Scott, Bainbridge, GA, Walter Scott, Heath Springs, SC, David Houston, Blakely, GA, and Michael Houston, Blakely, GA; daughters Brenda Carroll, Ocala, FL, Vivian Ard, Newton, AL and Terry Houston, Lehigh Acres, FL, 14 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Countryside Funeral Home in Anthony, FL on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, with Fr. Don Curran of Christ the King Anglican Church officiating. Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens in Ocala, FL. Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
