Ida Grimm

Ida Grimm, 94
Ida Grimm, age 94, passed away of natural causes on February 22, 2021 in Ocala, Florida.
Ida was born on April 11, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to Abe and Rose Sorkin.
Ida married the love of her life, Nelson Grimm, on June 10, 1945. They were married for 74 years until
Nelson passed away in 2020.
While Nelson worked as a chemical engineer for General Electric in Cleveland, Ida entertained her
friends and family as a singer and dancer in local theater productions. She also worked part-time as a
secretary for various organizations, including The Jewish Community Center.
Upon retirement, Ida and Nelson moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where Nelson became a member of
the Coast Guard auxiliary.
Later, they moved to Sun Center City, Florida and became members of Beth Israel.
Ida is survived by their children, O. Steven Grimm and Beverly Grimm (Ronald Wiggins), grandsons David
Grimm (Amy Duffield), Jeffrey Grimm (Abra Faraon) and Jonathan Grimm and 4 great- grandchildren,
Amelia, Juliet, Amalina and Nadav.
Memorial services will be private.
