Salt Springs – Jack Allen Cooper, 76, passed away July 22, 2015. Born July 11, 1939, in Mt. Creek, AL, to John Royal Cooper and Mary Agnes Welch Cooper. He moved here from Sarasota in 1990. Jack retired from GTE-Verizon after twenty five years. He has been a member of Masons Oak Park Lodge 864, Montgomery, AL for 55 years. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, brother, and son, Jack Allen Cooper Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Esther R. Cooper; sons, Daniel Gary Cooper (Karen), Mark Allen Cooper, Leslie Dean Cooper; daughter, Layne Marie Peters; sister, Mary Josephine Evans; three grandchildren, Leslie Marie Cooper, Ashley Marie LeKov, and Daniel Gary Cooper Jr.; and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Salt Springs, with Pastor Eric Gervais officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at 12 Noon. Interment to follow at First Baptist Church of Salt Springs Cemetery.
