Salt Springs - Jacquelyn "Jackie" Pellum, 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family on November 10, 2016. Born in Jacksonville, FL on March 23, 1942, to Norel Douglas and Bessie Lee Stringer. Jackie raised her family and worked as a beautician and business owner of Florida Color Graphics in Jacksonville. Over the past 50 years she spent her weekends and later retired in Salt Springs. Jackie lived her life loving others, she devoted her time and talents to improve the lives of those in her community and was a founding leader in the Salt Springs Civic Association.
Jackie will join those who have preceded her in death, her two son's: Franklin Scott and William Everett "BJ" and her siblings: Sandra, Willie Mae, Quinelle, Lee, Douglas, and Wanelle.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Nathan "Sonny" Pellum. Sr; son, Nathan Pellum, Jr. (Rachel); daughter, Cindy Henderson (Alex); brothers, James Stringer (Shirley), Frank Stringer (Carol); sisters, Winifred Peters, Charlotte Armstrong (Charlie); grandchildren, Kari Russell (Brandon), Christian, Charlotte, Betty, Barbara; great-grandson, Jack Everett Russell; and many other friends and family.
Memorial Service will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Salt Springs Christian Church, Salt Springs, FL with Pastor Walt Miller officiating. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
