OCALA- James "Jim" Edward Burnham, 61, passed away October 30, 2021 in Ocala, Florida. He was born February 24, 1960, in Hinsdale, Illinois to the late Richard George Burnham and Louise Mary Zierk. Jim owned and operated a variety of building construction companies for many years.
He is preceded in death by his father Richard "Dick" Burnham, his daughter Jolene Burnham and baby grandson.
He is survived by his mother, Louise Zierk Burnham; daughters, Janison "Brook" (Cody) Ford and Emilie Erika Maria Burnham (William Wilkins); 9 grandchildren Oakley, Keanna, Brianna, Jayme, Nathan, Hunter, Audrey, Mia and James; brothers Dennis and Charles "Tom"; sisters Patti (Philip), Genevieve (Glenn) and Bonnie; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Jim was a loving and caring son, brother, father and poppop. He was known for his calm demeanor and immense knowledge of various trades. He was a very hard working man that was good with his hands and knew a lot about everything. He had a huge heart and big dreams with lots of ideas and a positive outlook on life. He was quick witted with a lively personality.
Jim had a long battle with diabetes which led to kidney failure and dialysis, blindness and various other health conditions. He was a fighter and very optimistic. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Jim was a giver in many ways, even until the end through being an organ donor.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to National Kidney Foundation.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be held at a later date.
