Ocala- James Wesson Douglas, 95, was born August 1, 1925, in Orlando, Florida to Leonard and Thelma Wesson Douglas. He passed away February 10, 2021 in Ocala. Jim served in the United States Navy in World War II, and later managed Pinecrest and Harbor View thoroughbred farms.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Leonard and Thelma Douglas, brother Roy, sister Mildred, and daughter Kathy Gottenstrater.
He is survived by his loving wife, Michelina, son Robert (Barbara), daughter Elizabeth Studstill (Larry), as well as six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday February 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., at West Marion Baptist Church, with Pastor George Ragsdale officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
