James Franklin Lusher

James Franklin Lusher, age 86, of Ocklawaha, Florida, passed away on July 28, 2023 at Ocala Regional Medical Center.  He was born on July 14, 1937 in Lillybrook, West Virginia a son to the late James Leon and Martha Ruth(Gallaher) Lusher.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister Nancy.  Frank attended Stocco High School and graduated from Ocala High School. In high school he participated in basketball and was an all star standout. He married Shirley Bruner on June 9, 1957. He worked in road building and enjoyed sharing his national paving awards. Frank loved to fish and go to the mountains and spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his  wife Shirley, two brothers Leon and Billy, three sons, Tim, Jeff (Sandi) and Todd six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  Family, friends and others, whose lives were touched by Frank are invited to Countryside Funeral Home at 9185 NE Jacksonville Rd., Anthony, Florida on Saturday August 5, 2023 at 5:00pm to reminisce, remember and support each other.
