Ocala – James Henry Green, 90, passed away at Hospice Legacy House, January 12, 2016. Born September 3, 1925 in Pierre, South Dakota, to Ward O. Green and Alice Crumbaker he moved here in 1982 from Maryland. He was a WWII Veteran of the United States Navy and a Program Estimator for the VA. After retirement he worked for Marion County Zoning department for seven years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Rita M. Wagner Green; son James “Jimbo” (Sue) Green, of Ocala; daughters, Norma “Tootsie” Gustavson, of Ocala, Nancy Crews, of Ocala; grandchildren, Brian, Sean, Aaron, Jessica, TJ, Brett; step-grandchildren, Brian and Bobby Stanton; great-grandchildren, Katie, Parker, Keagan, Nolan and former daughter in law, Marcy Green.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell FL with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County Legacy House in memory of James Green. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
