James A. Johnson, 81, passed away July 7, 2016, at ORMC. Born May 28, 1935, in Chattanooga, TN to James Alvin Johnson and Mildred Dulin Johnson. He moved to South Florida at the age of 22 and then relocated to Marion County in 1970. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and his morning coffee friends at McDonald's. He was a member of Oakcrest Baptist Church. He was a plant manager for Spicer Industries.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Eva O'Berry Johnson; sons, James "Buddy" A. Johnson, III and Fred Nelson, Jr. (Katherine); daughters, Jimmie Lee Johnson (Mark), Lela Prine (Lee), and Brenda Pizzulo; brother, Robert "Bobby" Johnson (Jessie); sister, Jeanie Wormsley (Jerry); 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with Rev. Ted Burrell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior.
