James D. Johnston

James D. Johnston, age 76, of Summerfield, Florida, passed into the loving arms of Jesus March 31, 2025. Born on May 17, 1948, in Southport, England. Son of James and Jean Johnston. 

James was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a helicopter crew chief. Later he would serve as a dispatcher for a metropolitan transit service and also dispatched for a county EMS service. 

James was a devoted family man. His love for his wife and family was immeasurable. He cherished his role as a husband, always putting his family first. He was a man of kindness and integrity, someone who would give his time and support to anyone in need, whether it was a neighbor, a friend, or a stranger. 

He is predeceased by; sister, Pauline Trimble 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory; wife, Donna Johnston; brother, John Robert Brown, Joseph DeMari (Jackie), David DeMari (Jessica), Ed Trimble (Pauline); along with numerous nieces, nephews, several great nieces and nephews, two " daughters " Trish,Tammy and "grandchildren " 

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
