James Michael Korom, 70, passed peacefully in his home March 21, 2024 with family by his side in Fort McCoy, Florida. He is survived by his significant other Vickie Davis, daughter Marybeth (Brett) Bencivenga, four grandchildren Matthew, Brett II, Aurora, Riverlyn, sisters Terri Korom, Vicki Durand, and brothers, Bob and Emmet Korom. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Korom, Jr. mother Joyce Alene Korom, and brother Jack R Schooner, Jr.
James "Michael" grew up in Clearwater, Florida. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served as an air craft mechanic in the US Navy. He attended Culinary School at St. Petersburg College. He also was a commercial fisherman for Frenchy Corporation as well as Head Chef at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill Clearwater Beach.
