Jamille "Jami" Stewart Wilson, age 65, of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on August 13, 2022. She was born on June 22, 1957 in Ocala, Florida, a daughter to the late James Gallion and Margaret Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Welch and her first daughter, Lindsey Meadows Wilson. Jami was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Jami was an “Old Ocala” native who cherished her roots. In her free time she enjoyed swimming across Lake Weir and digging her toes in the sand at Ormond beach. She loved animals, gardening, and cooking. Jami was a registered nurse and spent much of her career passionately caring for her community in the emergency department at a local hospital. Jami loved people and cherished her relationships. Jami was an unstoppable force, “can’t or no” didn’t exist in her vocabulary. She was beautiful inside and out, a free spirit, a woman of substance. Most importantly, she was a fierce protector and proud mother to her daughters. Jami will be missed dearly and her memory will be kept alive by the qualities she instilled in those that she loved.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a fiance David Schipper, daughters; Jaclyn Wilson (Brad) Skaggs, Hannah Wilson, Shelby Allen (Casey), a brother David Ewan, a brother-in-law John Welch and seven grandchildren. Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
A service will be held in honor of Jami on Saturday, September 10th at 10am at Grace Episcopal Church.
