Janet Flanagan

Janet G. Flanagan, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 18, 2021 in Ocala, Florida. She was born March 24, 1935 in Landisburg, Pennsylvania to John B. Gibson and Mary Ellen Hays Gibson. She was the second youngest of 17 children.

Janet and her family moved to Ocala in 1972. She always had a great flare for fashion and was the general manager at The Vogue in downtown Ocala followed by a 30 year career as a claims adjuster for Nationwide Insurance in Gainsville, FL.  Janet loved to entertain for friends and family, especially during the Christmas season.

Janet is preceded by her parents and loving husband of 47 years Hugh W. Flanagan.
She is survived by her daughters; Judy Miller and Barbara Flanagan; grandchildren; John Allen Miller and William Ader; siblings; Fyetta Campbell, Jane Gibson, George Gibson, Phil Gibson, and Diane Tritt.
