Je Burdine
April 20, 1951 — October 29, 2016
Anthony - JE Burdine, 65, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2016. Born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 20, 1951 to Everette and Lucy Burdine. He worked in the construction industry before taking early retirement due to illness. He has been a Marion County resident for the last 33 years and was a member of Meadowbrook Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Janice Burdine; son, Guy Shepherd of NC; daughter, Katie Lynn; brothers, Cotton Burdine, Bill Burdine; sister, Loretta Truax all of IN; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
JE was preceeded in death by his parents and sister Roberta Cook.
After graduating high school, JE was drafted into the Army, and proudly served in Germany as a secret documents clerk and MP. His passion was serving the Lord, and family & friends (which involved a lot of cookouts, late night chats, and long phone calls). He loved classic car shows, flea markets & yard sales, and funny movies.
A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2016 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with Associate Pastor Pam Thomas officiating. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
