BEELER, Jeanette Fudge (Jaye)
Salt Springs - Jeanette Fudge Beeler, 74, passed away August 1, 2018 at home. Born February 21, 1944, in Tampa, FL, to the late Emmette and Georgia May Cannon Beeler. In her younger years she worked as a life insurance agent for Independent Life. She was also an office manager for an insurance company, and worked for Clay Today and Clay County Leader newspapers. Her last place of employment, and her favorite, was an independent contractor contracting with a telephone book that covered Clay County, Bradford County, Putnam County and Alachua County. In this position she designed and sold commercial advertisements.
After her employment her and Jim moved to Salt Springs where Jaye was very active in her Community. She was a life member of the Salt Springs VFW Auxiliary 10208 and AmVets 1208, Salt Springs Ya-Ya Sisters and Civic Association. She was also a member of the Palatka Moose Lodge.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lauren Booth, Bernice Seigler, and Carolyn Mae Dean; half brother, Alfred R. Davis; half sister, Marilyn Uptagnaft. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Jim Beeler; sister, Unice Burnham (Don), of Tampa, FL; sons, Chris Kellum (Katy), of Idaho, Craig Kellum (Abby) of Tampa; step-son, Pete Beeler (Kristy), of Greensboro, NC; step-daughter, Julie Belcher (Greg), of Green Cove Springs; numerous nieces and nephews throughout Florida and six grandchildren.
Over the years Jaye enjoyed spending time when she could with her grandchildren and working in the kitchen with her Yaya sisters, Jackie, Linda, Kathy and Loretta. She was an avid Seminole fan and loved cheering her team on watching and attending games. She also enjoyed working in her yard and watching the wildlife, fishing, boating, tinkering at Garage Sales and shopping on QVC. Maybe most of all she loved "ruling the roast" and keeping her husband Jim in tow.
